This refers to the drone itself and does not include payloads, ground equipment, or spares, which must be insured separately.
Payload
Payloads are equipment carried on board the drone that are not required to maintain and/or sustain flight. This includes spraying or spreading systems, cameras and sensors.
Ground Equipment / Spares
Ground Equipment and Spares are items that remain on the ground, but only whilst being used in conjunction with the Insured’s drone operations. This includes batteries, chargers, generators, spare parts and control stations.

Beyond Visual Line of Sight is an operation requiring aid to maintain contact with the RPA or radio communication out of Visual Line of Sight with the RPA. This doesn’t mean temporarily losing sight of your drone whilst flying.

Swarming is when multiple RPAS are deployed to accomplish a shared objective, with the platforms autonomously altering their behaviour based on intercommunication.
